Ingredients
tomatoes 4 medium size
green chillies 14
oil 4 spoons
tamarind 2 flakes
mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
cumin seeds 1/4 spoon
urad dal 1/4 spoon
garlic cloves 8
curry leaves some
coriander some
salt to taste
Method
clean the tomatoes and green chillies
cut tomatoes into 4 to 5 pieces.
cut green chillies into two parts.
1.heat oil(3 spoons) in a pan .
2.after heating the oil add green chillies. and fry them.
3.when you frying green chillies and garlic should be alert because they have the nature to splutter. if we not cut them properly they can jump from the oil.so fry them carefully.
4.after frying the green chillies keep them aside.
5.in the same oil and tomato pieces and tamarind .cook until tomatoes become tender .
6.you can add some water if you want to cook tomatoes so soft.
7.add fried green chillies,cumin seeds,garlic cloves,salt and tamarind in a mixie jar .make a paste.
8.then add cooked tomato pieces.do not make fine paste.just crush the tomato pieces (use reverse button in mixie jar only for 3 seconds).
9.add one spoon oil in a pan .
10.after heating the oil add mustard seeds.
11.when they began to splutter add urad dal .
12.fry urad dal until they became light brown colour.
13.then add curry leaves and coriander leaves.
14.mix all these with tomato chutney.
15.taste the salt .if not enough add more salt.
