Are we eating cancer free breads ?


Be aware readers, most of the breads(Wheat bread, White Bread, Pizza base...etc) we are eating contains harmful chemicals which causes cancer, thyroid related problems, diabetics and more. Recently Food and Safety Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) is set to ban use of harmful chemicals like potassium bromate and potassium iodate using in bakery products. Most of the nations like Canada, Australia, China, New Zealand, China, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Nigeria, Peru and Columbia where Potassium bromate is banned. The EU, Australia and New Zealand also ban the use of Potassium iodate. Hopefully india will join.

Potassium bromate is a powerful oxidizing agent which is used for flour treatment in bread and other bakery products because it makes the bread fluffy, soft and gives it a good finish. Potassium iodate also used as the same purpose in bakery.
