garam masala powder | 1 spoon |
coriander leaves | few |
oil | 2 spoons |
Preparation
Wash potatoes with water.We should take special care when we are cleaning root vegetables.They have lot of dust particles.
First wash potatoes under tap water.Then peel them.
Once again wash the peeled potatoes.
Cut the potatoes into small size pieces.Put these potato pieces into water (salt adding water).Keep them until use cooking.
Wash coriander leaves and cut them into small pieces and keep them aside.
Wash onions and green chillies and cut into small pieces.
Add masala ingredients in a blender and make a fine powder.
Before adding masala ingredients in a jar we should roast them(how to make garam masala powder)
Method
1.Take a thin pan or kadai.Put on the flame.
2.Add oil when kadai is heated.
3.Drain the potato pieces from the water.
4.When oil is heated add potato pieces and fry them.
5.Do not keep the lid when potatoes are frying if you want the fry cripsy.
6.Add turmeric and stir the fry often using spatula.
7.When potato pieces become to change their colour (started to crispy) then add salt and finely chopped onions and green chillies.
8.Stir well .Do not allow to make the potato pieces to burn.
9.After some time potatoes and onions are fried well.Then add garam masala and stir the fry.
10.Taste the fry if salt is enough or not .If you want more then add salt and garam masala for spicy.
11.Finally add finely chopped coriander leaves and put off the flame.
12.Tasty and children favourite dish crispy potato fry is ready to eat with steam rice....enjoy!!!
Keep in the mind
Do not use potatoes which has in green colour.It is one type of bacteria effected that green potatoes.
Use spatula instead of ladle when you preparing this recipe.Spatula does not allow to mash the fried potatoes like ladle.
You can add grated coconut 3 to 4 spoons if you like .It is optional.
Do not put the lid when you frying the potatoes .If you put the lid potatoes become so soft not crispy.
