Kobbari vundalu coconut sweet

This is a traditional sweet.In the olden days there was  less sweet shops existed not like todays.People liked to make a simple sweets in the houses.In the sweets they used jaggery instead of sugar which is very good for children to  improve activity of brain.This coconut sweet is very good sweet item for children and youth. Ofcourse every one like this sweet because this is very delicious and very easy to prepare with in the short time.only two main ingredients we need to prepare this sweet.grated coconut and jaggery are main to make this sweet.we can add elachi and dry fruits as we like.


Ingredients


grated coconut 1 cup
jaggery 1 1/2 cup
cashew nuts 10
badam 5
ghee 1 spoon
elachi 4
water 1/4 cup

Preparation


Grate the coconut.Take 1 cup of greated coconut .
Mash the jaggery pieces and measure it .Take 1 1/2 cup mashed jaggery  .
Add elachi in  a  mixie jar and make a  power(no need to make a  fine powder).
Cut the cashew nuts into 2 to 3 pieces.
Cut badam into 2 to 3 pieces.

Method


1.Take a thin pan. Put on the flame. And add mashed jaggery and 1/4 cup of water and make a syrup .
2.Take a pan and put on the flame.
3.Add  the ghee.When ghee is melted add cashew nut  pieces and fry till cashew nut pieces turn into golden colour .
4.Take them in a bowl.
5.Add basam pieces in the same ghee and fry till basam pieces chage their colour into light golden.
6.Take them  out and keep in  the cashew nut pieces adding bowl.
7.Then add grated coconut  in that ghee and fry for 2 minutes in low flame.
4.you can fry in medium flame also.But do not allow to change the colour of  grated coconut.
5.After frying the grated coconut add this in jaggery syrup .and stir well.
6.You can add grated coconut when jaggery is complelely dissolved in the water.
7.No need to wait for sugar syrup constitency(single string constitency).
8.Cook the mixer till coconut and jaggery syrup completely mixed  and oil is coming from the mixer.
9.Take the small amount of mixer in your hand and try to make a round shape.
10.Finally add elachi powder and fried cashew nut and badam pieces.mix all very well.
11.Let it to be cool(cool the mixer).
12.After that make the mixer into a round shapes or your require shapes .
13.Put them all shapes in a plate and dry for 20 to 30 minutes.
14.After that put them in air tight container...

Keep in the mind


Use fresh coconut for grate.
Do not put the flame in high when frying the cashew nuts ,badam and  grated coconut.
If you like less sweetness you can take 1 cup of  jaggery.
 Adding dry fruits also optional.
